Wednesday - April 5, 2017
BENTON, Ark. - Recycle Saline is hosting its third annual Re-Fashion Bash Saturday, April 22, at the Benton Event Center. Re-Fashion Bash is an upbeat recycling fashion show highlighting Saline County students on the runway. They will walk the runway on this honorable and memorable night showing off their fashion in hopes of winning top prize money. There will be first ($500), second ($250), and third ($100) place prizes awarded to the top designers. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.00. All the money raised from Re-Fashion Bash goes to the YEA! Team (Youth Environmental Ambassadors) program sponsored by Recycle Saline.
For the third year in a row Little Rock Fashion Week’s founder Brandon D. Campbell will be the co-producer of the runway fashion show. Students are mentored by Campbell, including LRFW alumni professional designer Lacie Cupani, owner of Cupani Fashion. Guests will also experience a runway presentation by Cupani Fashion and iME with clothing being displayed by professional models provided by Oneofakind Talent Inc.
There are 25 YEA! Team programs, one in each Saline County school. The mission of the YEA! Team program is to provide awareness and education about recycling in our schools and county. YEA! Team members volunteer many hours in the community working on litter pick-ups, beautification projects, and recycling education in Saline County. As part of the YEA! Team program, senior YEA! Team members are eligible for a $1,500 scholarship and are awarded the night of the show.
