LRFW 6 Clothing Line of Year Winning Designer has a lot in store
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Fashion Week 2014 Clothing Line of the Year has been announced!
Cupani Fashion, owned by fashion designer Lacie Cupani of Little Rock, was chosen by an independent group of fashion insiders, executives and LRFW sponsors as the LRFW 2014 Clothing Line of the Year.
“I would like to take a moment and express sincere appreciations to Brandon D. Campbell, Producer and Founder of the LRFW, the LRFW Team, Regency Beauty Institute of Shackelford for doing the models hair and make-up, Oneofkind Talent Inc., Harding University’s fashion merchandising professor Rebecca Boaz, and all my models who helped make it happen,” says Cupani. “I would like to also thank my husband Pierre; my mom and my mother-in-law, my friends from the U.S. and from my home country - Kyrgyz Republic, specifically Gulmira and Taalai who travelled around the globe to attend the sixth LRFW.”
Originally from Krygyz Republic, a central Asian country, Cupani designs crochet clothing for women, men and children. At LRFW, Cupani Fashion was presented at LRFW’s Bare and Big Night fashion events. At Bare, Cupani Fashion’s collection was named “Inspired by Nature of Arkansas.” Cupani Fashion’s black tulip dress was chosen by host Miss Arkansas International Kelsey Theall to be worn. Cupani dedicated her Fall/Winter Cupani Fashion’s collection to optical phenomena such as rainbows and tricks of light and named it “Rainbow Soul.” Audience at LRFW Big Night experienced it firsthand.
“I hope, Cupani Fashion crocheted collection touched every heart and soul. I wanted to modernize a historically old concept or needlecraft of crochet using a more scientific approach,” said Cupani.
For winning LRFW 2014 Clothing Line of the Year, Cupani Fashion receives fee waivers to showcase at Oneofakind Baton Rouge Fashion Week 2 in February 2015 and headline LRFW 7 in July 2015; receives up to a year of promotion/advertisement via at LRFW’s website, social media and marketing campaigns; a webpage at LittleRockFashionWeek.com, LRFW merchandise, a high fashion photo shoot featuring professional models from Oneofakind Talent Inc.
“Lacie did a very nice job,” says Campbell. “Cupani Fashion brought something unique to our shows at a time when consumers are clamoring for more original pieces from designers that show off one’s figure in a stylish yet classy way. I’m proud of her, and I’m looking forward to working with Cupani Fashion more.”
Next up for Cupani and her Cupani Fashion label is a few presentations for buyers and fashion executives at AmericasMart Atlanta Apparel trade show October 16-19.
“Brandon Campbell and the LRFW Team did an extraordinary job during the LRFW causing a beneficial transformation in the life and looks of Arkansans overall. And we, the designers, are only too happy to assist Mr. Campbell as well as Arkansans in achieving such a positive transformation,” said Cupani.
